Makom Choir

The Choir of Makom Solel Lakeside is a fun way to make new friends in the community and to deepen our connection to Jewish music and prayer.

The Makom Choir sings at Holy Day services, once-a-month Shabbat service, and special concerts and music events throughout the year. Our repertoire is a mix of classical and contemporary styles, spanning both sacred and secular genres. Weekly rehearsals take place at Makom on Thursdays at 7:30pm. Our group is conducted by the amazing Jack Reeder, Choral Conductor in Residence, and accompanied by the incomparable Russell Stern, Pianist and Music Director.

While there is no formal audition requirement for entry, it is important that participants feel comfortable singing in harmony and can learn music parts (either by reading music notes or practicing by ear).
