From birth through Be Mitzvah, confirmation, marriage and funerals, life brings both joys and sorrows. Our experienced clergy and staff will inspire you with Jewish teachings and offer you the necessary support to help cope with the milestone challenges of life.

Be Mitzvah services take place in our sanctuary or chapel and the building is also available for baby namings and weddings. Our clergy officiates at locations throughout the Chicagoland area, and by arrangement may even travel to destination locations. Past weddings and Be Mitzvah ceremonies have taken place in Israel, Brazil, San Diego, New Orleans and many others.

Makom Solel Lakeside has funeral plans with two local Jewish funeral homes. They offer a reduced rate for congregants. There is an additional rental fee charged for funeral ceremonies in our building for congregants’ non-member extended family. When a death occurs, please call the congregation office at (847) 433-3555. The Rabbis and funeral directors will be contacted promptly.
