ADULT EDUCATION

Adult Education at Makom Solel Lakeside happens all through the year and all through the week. Our clergy and educators teach different classes for our congregants. Offerings include current topics on Anti-Semitism with Rabbi Evan Moffic and Judaica topics such as Kabbalah and Jewish Reel Movies with Rabbi Ike Serotta. Musical Meditation with Cantor Jay O’Brien and Mussar with Director of Congregational Learning, Ashely Plotnick.

Musical Meditation with Cantor Jay O’Brien

Join Cantor Jay as we sing, meditate, and reflect on the blessings of life and the beauty of our spiritual traditions. Each 1-hour session is centered around participatory discussions, and features weekly teachings and Jewish music, poetry, and mindfulness techniques.

Take a closer look at the Mid East with Rabbi Serotta and Vanessa Ehrlich as we have the opportunity to talk and look at just some of the information overload from the region as it pertains to Israel and her neighbors.

Come and be inspired. The group will discuss the book: A Responsible Life: The Spiritual Path of Mussar by Ira F. Stone. No prior Mussar experience necessary to join, just an open heart.

Recommend purchasing the book at your local bookstore or on-line before the class begins.
