Hebrew Program

Through experience, we have learned that the most effective way to teach Hebrew decoding is through small group or individual instruction. Our Hebrew program has evolved to continue to meet the complex needs of our learners and their families.

Currently, our 4th graders learn the Aleph Bet as part of their Sunday Lev Learning curriculum. In 5th and 6th grade, students are provided with individualized or small group Hebrew instruction each week. Hebrew is most often scheduled on Tuesday afternoons.

One year before Be Mitzvah, our students are invited to attend Hevruta, our prayer preparatory class, which meets on Sunday while Lev Learning is in session, 11:45am -12:15pm. Students begin private Hebrew tutoring with our Be Mitzvah coordinator six months prior to their Be Mitzvah.

At Makom Solel Lakeside, we believe that Jewish education should be open and accessible for all. The cost for our Lev Learning Sunday and Hebrew Program is included in your Community Commitment. Click here to learn more.
